The heart and arrow Valentine are now in a frame. This was fun and simple coloring page that I created myself, and you can create you own, too!

For Valentine’s Day I decided to make my own coloring page with a red heart and a metallic arrow going through it. Yes, I create Valentine art for the festivity of it all, and this day does not have to be about romance. Projects with a Valentine’s Day theme are fun for people of all ages to create, and why not enjoy spending time with loved ones working on a craft.

I folded the sheet of paper in half so I could draw a symmetrical heart. Also, I drew the bottom part of the arrow.

I unfolded the sheet of paper, and used the impression from the half traced heart to complete the shape. Thus, I was able to create a symmetrical heart. Also, added the arrowhead to the arrow.

I used a green colored pencil to trace firmly over the heart and arrow illustration, thus transferring an etching to a new sheet of paper.

It is exciting once the entire heart has been colored in. Also, just goes to show how rewarding and creative it is to design your own coloring page. I highly recommend it.

Drawing Annie The Cat Looking Over The Hillside

Colored Pencil Drawing of Annie The Cat
I finally completed the colored pencil drawing of Annie the cat.

Yesterday I finished the colored pencil drawing of Annie the cat, and the photos below highlight how I created this illustration.

I have started trying a picture of Annie cat looking over the hillside. There are two scrub oak trees next to her.

I am at the half-way point of the drawing. The scrub oak trees have almost all shaded in.

Meticulously coloring in the sky around the scrub oak trees was a time consuming task. This art project was one of patience and precision.

In this video you can see what the pink quartz rock looks like after I finished shading it in with oil pastels. There are many pink quartz rocks like this one up in the San Bernardino Mountains.
