D Is For Drawing

Today’s post gets straight to the point, and the letter D is for drawing, or at least finishing up an old drawing that I left behind. This is a simple illustration with my cat Irina standing next to a large impressionistic flower. This drawing is a bit of a stretch because cats do not usually stand next to vases with flowers of this magnitude, but this illustration is meant to emulate the feelings cats have when standing next to a human.

Here I am beginning to draw Irina standing next to a large impressionistic flower.

I will continue adding color to this drawing as it progressing, so come back to see how it turns out.

    1. Glad to hear other cat people wonder about this too. Some cats get along well with dogs better than other cats, good point.

    1. I will be posting the completed sketch in a letter post that goes with a certain letter theme having to do with this illustration. I appreciate your nice comment.
