Finishing The Illustration of Lady Dog

The photos here document finishing up the colored pencil drawing of Lady dog.

Using sepia, brown, and white to burnish the wood background behind Lady. First, I used the dark brown colored pencil to define the wood grain.

I used sienna brown colored pencils to create the tiles Lady dog is lying on.  The grout in between the tiles was created with a chocolate brown colored pencil.

  1. A beautiful picture. Even though you show each step, it still seems like magic to me when I see the finished result. I like color you chose for the tiles. Nice contrast with Lady dog’s colors.
