Making A Red, White, And Blue Card For The Fourth of July

Today is the Fourth of July, so I decided to make a card to celebrate the holiday. I am into creating art projects and making crafts, so that is what I like to do around a holiday. Also, I think it is possible to make your own holiday themed crafts rather than running out to the store and spending money. Did you ever consider having your kids make some decorative crafts with supplies you already have lying in some closet around the house? This is a great way to save money rather than buying decorations that you might never use again.

First I drew a star in the center of the quarter-fold card.

I decided to repaint the white stripes since a few of these had cracked paint. The paint still cracked in places, but it was minimized a bit with the second application.
