Today I finished painting a picture of two cats kissing at Joshua Tree.

Joshua trees and cats are two of my favorite things, so I decided to paint a picture of two cats kissing at Joshua Tree. The painting is based on a photograph I took of Ashbury and Snoopy touching noses back in 1997.

I painted the mountain, boulders, and the Joshua trees behind the two cats. I used texture to make the stump of the Joshua tree look more dimensional.
