Max The Cat In His Cradle

This is a drawing creating back in 2011 of Max the cat in the cradle.

When I drew this composition I used the grid technique, which is a simple way to work on a drawing. The grid helps to focus on one part of the drawing at a time.

Today the letter K is for finishing the Kitty cat and the large flower drawing.  I drew a large impressionistic flower and put it in a vase, which was towering above Irina the cat.  This is a whimsical drawing that was fun to create with pencil and colored pencils.

Above is a video showcasing how the finished drawing turned out. I love creating cat art, and my little black kitty Irina is a constant source of inspiration.

I Is For The Drawing of Irina The Cat

Today the letter I is for my drawing of Irina the cat, which is based on a photograph that I took of my sweet little black kitty.  Irina was a cat that I adopted because she had been abandoned in our apartment complex, and I could not resist seeing the poor little thing eating grass to survive. These days Irina is living the cat’s life sleeping under my bed, under the table, and anywhere else she feels like being at the moment.

This is the original photograph that the Irina the cat drawing is based on.

The video below illustrates what the Irina the cat drawing looked like as I was working on it.
